Dowd Scheffel Prevails at D.C. Circuit on Behalf of @pizza

Dowd Scheffel is pleased to share another victory for its client @pizza, a U.K.-based pizza business, in a litigation involving claims of copyright infringement, trademark infringement, and trespass, this time before the D.C. Circuit. The appeals court decision can be read here.

The D.C. Circuit upheld the District Court for the District of Columbia’s earlier decision (available here) that U.S. copyright law cannot be imposed on our client @pizza as they operate only in the United Kingdom. Matthew Dowd argued the appeal and was later quoted in this article regarding this case.
