August 15, 2021: Matthew Dowd and Chief Judge Paul Michel (ret.) published an op-ed in The Hill concerning the importance of the patent system to critical industries including the semi-conductor industry. The op-ed highlighted the plight of the U.S. in terms of the current semi-conductor shortage and how the U.S. can work to do to restore the advantages in the U.S. by reinforcing the role of the U.S. patent system to encourage investment in technology in the United States. Dowd Scheffel is proud of its work with Judge Michel to continue to focus attention on this important issue.
