Matthew Dowd filed an amicus brief in Lee v. Tam, before the Supreme Court. The amicus brief was filed on behalf of four law professors specializing in intellectual property law and constitutional law in support of Respondent Mr. Simon Shaio Tam. It discusses the unconstitutionality of Section 2(a) of the Lanham Act through the lens of the First Amendment’s right to free speech and intellectual property law. The brief can be read here.
